South East Asia’s most wanted terrorist was reportedly shot and killed by police officers who stormed a suspected militant hide-out in Indonesia today to end a 16-hour siege.

Two leaders of the feared Southeast Asian terror network Jemaah Islamiyah have been sentenced to 15 years in jail, dealing yet another blow to the group blamed for a string of deadly bombings in Indonesia.

An Indonesian court today sentenced a Muslim militant to 10 years in jail for helping plan last year’s Marriott Hotel bombing in Jakarta, but acquitted him of involvement in the 2002 Bali attacks.
