One of the young men in Michael Collins’ assassination and counter-intelligence unit has become a voice from the grave in a new animated film telling the story of being a 14-year-old soldier in the Easter Rising.

Almost like the event itself, it nearly didn’t happen, but a private collector has paid €30,000 for a letter in which Irish Volunteers commander Eoin MacNeill tried to call off the 1916 Rising.
