Spirits business and independent family distillers, William Grant & Sons, has agreed to sell its three liqueur brands Carolans, Frangelico and Irish Mist to Gruppo Campari.

SCOTCH whisky group William Grant, which completed its €300 million purchase of the spirits division of C&C recently, could build a multi-million euro distillery in Clonmel as part of ambitious plans to grow its new Irish subsidiary.

Scottish distillers William Grant & Sons today completed its acquisition of C&C’s spirits and liqueurs business for €300m, with the deal including the brands Tullamore Dew, Carolans, Frangelico and Irish Mist.
