The scale of criminal justice co-operation between Britain and Ireland under EU agreements is highlighted in a new report on the European Arrest Warrant.

A report has shown 170 people sought by the State in connection with crimes here were still at large overseas at the end of last year.

Almost 200 children were abducted by a parent into or out of the country last year, figures show.

Around 70 cases of child abduction by a parent, involving 97 young people, were reported to authorities last year.
