A record prize fund of €3.3million – up €145,000 on last year – will be on offer at the Smurfit European Open at The K Club this summer.

Padraig Harrington’s Charitable Foundation has donated €50,000 to the Tsunami Aid Appeal – the proceeds from a charity show staged by the Irishman in Dublin last month.
