George Hamilton will be "locked up" on Friday as part of a charity challenge to highlight the plight of the estimated 40 million people held in slavery around the world.

The Head of the Australian Federal Police has told an international conference in Ireland that the age profile of victims of child abuse is getting younger.

Victims of human trafficking here are not being guaranteed access to specialised lawyers, safe accommodation and proper supports, according to European Union-funded research which is due to be published today.

Forty-five potential trafficking victims were discovered in Northern Ireland last year.
