Avolon chief executive Domhnal Slattery is set to pocket €30.8m from the sale of the company to China’s Bohai Leasing for €2.23bn.

A Dublin-headquartered aircraft leasing company has signed a deal worth more than €8.5bn.

The aircraft leasing firm at the centre of the biggest deal in Irish corporate history recorded pre-tax profits of $32.7m (€24m) last year.
