Consumer goods company Reckitt Benckiser has decided to split its business into two units after warning there would be no growth in sales this year.

Reckitt Benckiser expects muted sales growth this year, after last month’s global cyber attack exacerbated ongoing difficulties at the British consumer goods firm.

The FTSE 100 Index enjoyed more festive cheer in the last full trading day before Christmas today though the pound took a knock after it emerged UK growth was not as strong as first thought.
