Unannounced inspections are to be carried out on horse-racing facilities to investigate claims of exploitation, including the treatment of foreign nationals and children.

Taoiseach Enda Kenny has been asked to order raids on the horse racing industry amid claims there is “ruthless illegality”, “exploitation”, and a black economy operating in the sector.
