The CEO of Australian media group APN, which counts Independent News and& Media (INM) as its largest shareholder, has bowed to investor pressure and resigned, along with four other directors.

A second shareholder in Australian media group APN has questioned its management decisions, following calls from Independent News and& Media (INM) for a change in leadership.

Independent News and& Media’s chief executive Vincent Crowley has said that the election of Leslie Buckley as group chairman will not compromise editorial control and content at its titles which include the Irish Independent, the Sunday Independent and the Evening Herald.
