Wall Street pared its losses to finish flat today but remained uneasy after disappointing results from Bank of America Corp provided further evidence that the credit crisis is hurting the economy.

Wall Street began the fourth quarter with a huge rally today, sending the Dow Jones industrial average above 14,000 and well into record territory for the first time in 2.5 months.
