A legal challenge against the granting of planning permission to a proposed controversial €160m incinerator at Ringaskiddy in Cork Harbour opened in the High Court today.

The community group opposed to the building of an incinerator in Cork Harbour has claimed the application is invalid, due to a string of issues, including errors over the company name of the applicant, Indaver Ireland.
