Efforts to regain important status for a chemical engineering degree at University College Cork are continuing after management approval to fill a crucial academic vacancy.

Concerned chemical engineering students at University College Cork have been told every effort is being made to reverse the loss of accreditation for their degrees caused by a delay in replacing a professor.

A group of UCC students have had their MEng accreditation revoked as the university had not replaced a lecturer after seven years.
