Another rise in interest rates failed to make its mark today as the London market remained broadly unchanged.

Shares in UK bus and coach company Henlys lost nearly all of their value today after the board warned the shares would be delisted.

The FTSE-100 Index has fallen 53.4 points after downbeat statements in the US from Compaq and software group Oracle. It now stands at at 5675.8.
