One of the most touching moments of the past year’s commemorations happened 100 years to the minute after the first fatality in the Easter 1916 Rising.

The State’s 100th anniversary commemoration of the 1916 Rising takes place at the graveside of the 14 executed insurrection leaders at Arbour Hill, Dublin, tomorrow.
