Fáilte Ireland is to provide €100,000 for the upcoming World Handball Championships, which is being held in Ireland this year for the first time in nine years.

GAA President Christy Cooney has stated today that he will assist the Handball Association in organising a Handball Week later this year, which he hopes will strengthen the membership of the Handball Association.

THE GAA are to raise the national profile of handball with the appointment of a Promotional Administrator.
