A NUMBER of Cork city’s major hotels and guesthouses had to close or turn customers away as a result of last week’s floods.

ONE of Cork city’s oldest hotels, the Gresham Metropole, is lining up a circa €25 million-plus investment which will include large-scale demolition of the rear of the property.
