Irish college golfers have much to be proud of as they head into the summer.

Corkman Niall Turner helped his University of Minnesota men’s golf team to a second consecutive national top-10 finish as he closed out his US collegiate career at the weekend.

Gareth Shaw was the leading Irishman in the individual standings after the opening round of the NCAA Championships in Williamsburg, Virginia on Wednesday but Niall Turner's University of Minnesota team were right in the hunt for the team title.
