British Prime Minister Gordon Brown saw at first hand the devastation caused by floods across large swathes of Gloucestershire, England, during a 15-minute helicopter flight this morning.

IT remains unclear whether one of the senior officers at the centre of the operation that led to the death of Jean Charles de Menezes had ordered him to be taken alive.
