There was a blow for Derry today when a leading shirtmaker announced it was shedding nearly 100 jobs.

A Northern Ireland private equity group announced today it had taken a significant stake in Derry based Glenaden Shirts, the UK’s only remaining volume shirt manufacturer.

Up to 190 jobs could be created in Derry as a result of a multi-million pound investment in a shirt factory announced today.
