THE five schoolgirls killed when the Bus Éireann school bus bringing them home went out of control and overturned were not wearing seatbelts.

An inquest into the deaths of the five teenagers killed in the Kentstown bus crash has heard the bus overturned after at least one of its wheels locked when the brakes were applied on a bend.

A DRIVER whose passenger was killed while they were following the Cork 20 Rally failed to appear at a coroner’s court yesterday to give evidence about the tragic accident.
