IRISH people are buying more cigarettes, despite the country having the toughest anti-smoking measures in Europe, it emerged yesterday.

BAN ARD Cash and Carry Ltd was wound up by Ms Justice Laffoy in the High Court yesterday when she was told that the petitioning company together with 10 other companies were owed €1.9 million.
