FISHERMEN in Waterford who have been battling for years to stop the sale of a section of quay in the city where they land their catches will discover their fate this morning.

A TOTAL of 16 Irish restaurants and takeaways have been shut down so far in 2005 due to breaches in food safety legislation, it emerged yesterday.

TRAWLER owners at Waterford port say they face “eviction” within weeks as the port authority presses ahead with plans to sell and develop lands in the area.
