IRISH packaging group Ardagh has embarked on a US investor roadshow, aimed at raising acquisition funds.

PROFITS at glass and bottling group Ardagh rose marginally in the second quarter of the year ahead of its planned flotation.

ARDAGH Group, the international bottle and packaging company, is to seek a listing in the US, possibly as early as the third quarter of this year.

IRISH packaging and bottling company, Ardagh Glass has significantly increased its presence in the Italian packaging market via the acquisition of local group, Finanziaria di Partecipazioni Industriali (Fi.Par), for an estimated €125 million.
