Formula One supremo Bernie Ecclestone today reiterated the sale of the sport that has led to legal cases on two different fronts was above board.

Kermit, Miss Piggy, Gonzo and their pals are starring in their own website - the first in a series of new creative efforts launched by Walt Disney since buying the Muppets in April.

The Walt Disney Co. said it will buy the Muppets characters, including Kermit, Miss Piggy and others, franchise from The Jim Henson Co.

German media company EM.TV is selling the Muppets’ creator, the Jim Henson Company, to the Henson family in a deal worth £56m (€78.7m) – a fraction of what it paid for the company three years ago.

The Muppets are up for sale this weekend as the Jim Henson Company goes on auction, Variety reported.
