Administrators for Circle Oil have reached agreement to sell the bulk of the company’s remaining assets for $30m (€28m).

Circle Oil could reach a deal to sell its main production assets in the next couple of months, allowing it to repay the bulk of its $78m (€70m) debt.

The Egyptian Government has effectively halved its outstanding debt to Irish exploration firm, Circle Oil by paying it $15 million (€13m).
