The Drinks Industry Group of Ireland (DIGI) has urged its members to be especially vigilant over the St Patrick's Day festival to prevent underage people getting access to alcohol.

Drinks firms and the media were today threatened with tough legislation on alcohol advertising if they fail to abide by new rules on the promotion of drink.
