Two new cases of swine flu, one a child, have been diagnosed in the UK, British health secretary Alan Johnson said today.

Five UK schools will remain closed today as nine more cases of swine flu were confirmed, bringing the total to 27.

The number of people with swine flu rose to 11 tonight as the first case of a person contracting the disease from within the UK was confirmed.
