WITH the move towards a “smart economy” all the rage in recent years, often what made Ireland grow from the 1960s onwards has been forgotten.

MINISTER for Enterprise Trade and Employment Micheál Martin must set up a task force to examine recent job losses in Waterford, Labour Party deputy Brian O’Shea has urged.
