The death has occurred in Cork of Bertie O’Hanlon, the last surviving member of the Irish team that won the Grand Slam and Triple Crown in the 1948 International Championship. 

DOLPHIN have withdrawn from merger discussions with their Musgrave Park neighbours Sunday’s Well which could have seen the emergence of a new Cork senior rugby club.
