Latest: A parcel bomb found at a Limerick postal depot appears identical to a series of devices sent to Great Britain, gardaí have said.

Gardaí have appealed for information after a suspect device was thrown into a house in Limerick overnight.

The bomb squad has made safe a device found outside a house in Co. Monaghan this evening.

Residents at a Clondalkin apartment block were evacuated and a team from the army bomb disposal unit called in after bomb-making equipment was discovered in one of the apartments, the Special Criminal Court was told today.
