Four days, 1,200 musicians, and 40,000 punters later, the 34th Guinness Cork Jazz festival will tonight come to a close following a weekend of beats, blues, and boater hats.

A major fundraising concert is to be held for a mother of two children who helped collect €1m for various charities but who now needs help herself after suffering a debilitating stroke.
