Backboned by six champions, the Triton Showers National Rally Championship gets underway on Sunday with the TF Royal Hotel/Casey’s and Mulroy’s Londis Mayo Rally that returns to Castlebar for the first time in 11 years.

Some of the country’s leading motorcycle road racers will be on show tomorrow at the Monster Motorcycle Show, hosted by The Cork Motorcycle Racing and Vintage Club.

THE conflict between Motorsport Ireland and Kart Ireland continues, with the latter claiming one of the five karting venues have nailed their colours to the mast of the governing body by agreeing to host three events – two championships races and the C Plate races – organised by the Irish Karting Club (IKC).
