Stephen Teap from Carrigaline, a leading campaigner of those impacted by CervicalCheck screening, has been announced as the latest winner of a Cork Person of the Year award.

A former army officer who set up a music school with the aim of promoting music as a tool for social inclusion is the winner of Cork Person of the Year Award.

They glided across the finishing line with ease, so much so that there wasn’t a ripple of a surprise when it was announced that hero brothers Paul and Gary O’Donovan, who captured the hearts of the nation with their Olympic rowing silver medal triumph, had won the Cork Persons of the Year Award.
