A new book on Spike Island reveals, in the Victorian era, it was the biggest prison in the whole of Ireland and the British Isles.

Postcards depicting streetscapes 100 years apart are to be given free to people in Co Cork as part of an attempt to attract the diaspora back to the county for The Gathering.
