ÚDARÁS na Gaeltachta is expected to apply in the courts this morning to take the assets of a Scottish company into receivership in order to secure the money owed to both itself and the company’s 108 employees.

ALMOST two weeks after a financial services call centre suddenly shut its three Irish bases with the loss of 108 jobs, its employees have still not received hundreds of thousands of euro in owed wages.

THERE was mixed news on the employment front yesterday as 108 people lost their jobs in three Gaeltacht areas, while Cork is to get 150 jobs with the creation of a hotel call centre.

Over 100 jobs are to go in Dingle, Donegal and on Achill Island as Contact 4 closes its Irish operation.
