FAI boss John Delaney says the formation of the new Galway FC can transform the fortunes of soccer in the west of Ireland.

KARL CAULFIELD was the goalscoring hero yesterday as his strike saw the Munster Senior League defeat their Leinster counterparts 1-0 to reclaim the FAI Umbro Intermediate Inter-League Cup, which they last won in 2008, in Tullamore yesterday.

"We promised 12 months ago we would change the organization and what this meeting has done is to fast-forward that process."
