Ten US troops died in the crash of two transport helicopters off northern Djibouti’s coast during a training mission.

Rescuers today called off operations after accounting for the 10 United States troops who were missing after two US Marine transport helicopters crashed into the sea, an official said in Kenya.

THE US military said yesterday that hostile fire likely brought down a Chinook helicopter that crashed in eastern Afghanistan, and officials said the status of the 17 American soldiers aboard was unknown.
