IRISH FERRIES formally named its new €50 million ferry, Oscar Wilde, in Dublin Port yesterday as the company again faced criticism about pay and conditions for staff working on its vessels.

IRISH Continental Group’s ferry division Irish Ferries is to buy passenger car cruise ferry Kronprins Harald from its owners and operators Color Line of Norway, for €45m.

Irish Ferries has purchased a new cruise ferry to replace their present vessel ‘Normandy’ on the Ireland - France routes, it was announced today.
