A flying boat service which has taken to the skies will initially attract tourists but then expand to provide commuter links between Foynes, Galway, Dublin and Cork.

PLANS for a unique tourism product on the eastern edge of the Burren that has the potential to generate €3 million per annum and create up to 18 jobs have been thrown into doubt.

FLIGHTS between Cork, Dublin, Belfast and Clare — that will use rivers as their take off and landing strips — are on schedule to be launched early next year.
