Alan Shatter, the justice minister, has denied that the Government had sought to keep key elements of the Director of Public Prosecution’s criticisms of the garda investigation into Ian Bailey from the public.

A TEAM of detectives and forensic scientists arrived in Cork yesterday afternoon to interview a number of witnesses in connection with the murder, 15 years ago, of French documentary filmmaker Sophie Toscan du Plantier.

FAMILY members of Sophie Toscan du Plantier yesterday said they recently received a “prudent” response from Justice Minister Dermot Ahern regarding their request to see the Garda investigation file into her murder.
