Councillors in Dublin City have voted to let a controversial plan for a white-water rafting attraction go ahead at George's Dock in the north inner city.

It was reported yesterday that Dublin City Council may arrange to show Sunday's All-Ireland football final on a big screen in Smithfield, however the Council have said no such event will take place.

A COMMUNITY centre in Dublin’s inner city is to be named after a much-loved local teacher who was tragically killed by a runaway bus in May.
