Residents of the loyalist Glenbryn estate in north Belfast have withdrawn from talks with the British Government in protest at the arrest of eight men yesterday.

Six men arrested in connection with the loyalist demonstrations outside the Catholic Holy Cross primary school in Ardoyne have been charged with public order offences.

Anglican and Catholic church leaders in the North have united to call for an end to the loyalist protest on the Ardoyne Road in north Belfast.
