C&C’s play for the UK operations of Danish brewing giant Carlsberg may be revisited.

Drinks giant Carlsberg is planning to close a historic brewery in the UK with the loss of 170 jobs, it was announced today.

The British competition watchdog today said the planned takeover by two brewers of the beer dispensing equipment arm of US brewer Coors could spark higher beer prices.
