The Supreme Court will rule later this evening on property developer Liam Carroll's appeal of last month's High Court decision not to appoint an examiner to several companies in his Zoe building group.

The Supreme Court has granted a stay to several companies in the Liam Caroll controlled Zoe building group pending an appeal next week of the High Court's refusal to appoint an examiner to them.

A JUDGE yesterday described as “lacking in reality” a survival scheme put forward by companies in Liam Carroll’s Zoe building group as he refused to grant the companies court protection. The continuing battle over the companies’ debts of €1.2 billion is heading for the Supreme Court next week.
