Canada’s highest court has thrown out the country’s anti-prostitution laws in a victory for sex workers who said a ban on brothels and other measures made their profession more dangerous.

The star witness in the trial of accused serial killer Robert Pickton told a Canadian court she walked into the barn at his pig farm to find him covered in blood and a woman’s body hanging from a chain.
