Drinks group C&C has told shareholders it remains on track to meet current year financial targets of mid-single digit operating profit growth.

Drinks group C&C is expecting operating profits, for its current financial year to grow by up to €7m on the previous 12 months; although earnings from its Irish operations are likely to remain flat.

C&C has set September 25 as the date for the EGM, at which the group’s shareholders will vote on its proposed acquisition of Tennent’s Lager and the other assets within the Irish, Northern Irish and Scottish division of the Anheuser Busch-InBev brewing giant.
