BUDGET cuts north and south have resulted in all-island spending on infrastructure being reduced by 40%, noted a conference yesterday in Dublin jointly hosted by British and Irish employers bodies.

BRITAIN’S Treasury minister said government projects worth £11.5 billion (€13.7bn) would be cancelled or suspended, accusing the previous Labour government of taking irresponsible spending decisions.
