There are concerns that access to an historic Kerry island visited by thousands of people each year may be restricted unless urgent repairs are carried out to a mainland pier.

PARTS of one of the country’s most popular tourist routes, the Slea Head Drive, were yesterday closed to traffic after a section of cliff supporting the road collapsed into the sea.
