CONNEMARA Mining — the Irish AIM-listed zinc explorer — is set to announce a joint venture partnership, with an as yet unnamed company, to further develop its Lough Sheelin asset block, in the coming week.

LUNDIN MINING said yesterday that it has “anticipation of future good results” from a 350sq km silver, lead and zinc prospect it co-owns in Co Clare.

IRISH mining company, Belmore Resources — which co-owns a 350sq km zinc, lead and silver prospect in Co Clare — is sizing up expansion opportunities in mainland Europe and could consider a stock market listing in Dublin in the longer term.

EXPLORATION company Belmore Resources said yesterday it had completed drilling six holes of an ongoing zinc programme near Milltown.
